JUST ONE

Every ONE Makes a Difference

WHAT WE DO

SMALL ACTIONS. BIG IMPACT.

JUST ONE emerged out of a pursuit to create real change one small step at a time. To be better global citizens. We know that sometimes all it takes is just one person to create an opportunity. So we opened the door to let everyone be that person with a micro-donation model designed to let each supporter know that they have a personal impact. It's an idea that's having a macro effect. Join us in our goal to be better – more human – people. It just takes one.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY

We fund Tuition and Materials for Street Children and other disadvantage youth to attend school. From backpacks to bedding, uniforms and pencils. We supply all they need to get started and feel their best. We are making a difference one child at a time.

OUTREACH AT THE STREET

No one wants to be a child of the street, yet so many children globally end up there. We support outreach into individual communities to help with food, shelter and classes for the children in the slums. Our goal is to build a community of support where things like medical care, books, clothing, and even soccer are newly possible.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

By offering training in technical skills, older kids are able to grow and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. We pair-up with skilled artisans who are giving their time to teach their craft and are working towards facilitating a more sustainable model where youth become empowered by their own abilities and with the skills to be newly employable.

HOW WE DO IT

We look for areas where the small donations provided by supporters will make the most impact.

Often people believe that small donations will not make a difference, but we found the opposite is true. Our first focus has been the Kisenyi Slum of Kampala Uganda, renowned as one of the poorest in the world. Here there is a mix of orphans from villages across Uganda, and poor families, living either on the street or in rudimentary shelters.

The Slum itself is built on the marsh of Kampala and during the rainy season is often the first to flood. It is troubled by Typhoid fever, and the mosquitos that bring Malaria. One of our first ideas was funding simple Malaria Nets – each net costs about $8. From there we have expanded our focus to provided critical resources that one by one are bringing life-changing hope to this community.

JUST ONE $8 DONATION

It takes so little to do so much. Your contribution joins that of others to create a real impact through direct funding where it matters most. From meeting essential needs of kids on the streets to supporting the educational dream of a child to buying supplies for arts that help communities sustain themselves, every dollar does a world of good for someone.

What does $8 buy?

  • 15 pounds of rice

  • 5 tubes of toothpaste

  • 1 bug net

  • 2 text books

  • 3 pounds of beans

  • 1 first aid kit

  • 3 pairs of shoes

  • Unlimited hope
